Have you ever read a blog or watched a video about meeting great guys and thought “that’s not me, I can’t do that”…
…or “that’s completely unrealistic”, or “that’s alright for them”?
Sometimes a lot of the writing and advice that’s out there is based on a “one-size fits all” approach. They fail to take into account that we’re all individual.

What if there’s a way to find and use your unique talents to connect with men more naturally?
Gallup’s CliftonStrengths Assessment gives you a cost-effective to find your unique talents. This is the first step. Once you know and understand them, you can apply them in any way you want. I was so impressed with the information I learned from taking the assessment that I trained as a CliftonStrengths coach. This is the basis of my coaching method – I empower you to appreciate your talents, so you can create the relationship of your dreams.
Understand Your Unique Talents
Everyone is different. Everyone has talents. But maybe not everyone gets to refine those talents into a specific strength. This is Gallup’s main idea. By working on, practising, refining and getting coaching about our talents, we can start to hone them into a strength. Gallup define a strength as “the ability to consistently provide near-perfect performance”. Taking the assessment gives you your Top Five themes of talent. Once you know them, you can go to work on developing a strength.
But how does this link to connecting with men in a more natural way? By understanding your talents, you can start to find ways to apply them to meet great guys. In this way, you can start to take actions that most matches your naturally occurring ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. You’re no longer attempting a recommended strategy from a book, blog or video that someone else has suggested. You’re starting to find the ways that match your unique combination of talents.
For example, one woman I coached had the Gallup Strength “Learner” in her top five. Described as:
People who are especially talented in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
She was particularly interested in discovering things. I suggested that on a date, she could trust her Learner theme – and deliberately learn as much as she could about the people she met. On our next coaching call she said it was
useful for me, as I tend to focus on what I’m going to say…for my coffee date on Saturday [the] conversation was much more two-way. Last time – two months ago, I could barely speak [I was] focused on them judging me, how I came across. [I] felt I was much more myself. [There was a] massive difference: no knot in my stomach, didn’t feel like running a mile, able to enjoy it rather than feeling it was some kind of horrific trial
This kind of difference is possible for you.
- Take the CliftonStrengths test, (it costs around £15/ $20) and start to explore and practise your Top Five Strengths. This is the foundation on which you can create. It’s just the beginning – you can take it in any direction you choose.
